The Security Division of the University of Malaya (UM) was established in 1967. The main tasks are to ensure the safety and security of the campus and its community in all lenses. The Security Office is operational all year round with all time supervision and patrolling functions in ensuring the highest safety and security standards.

Functions

24-hour Monitoring and Control Counter Service at the Headquarters of the Security Office.
Distribution of Vehicle Stickers
Registration of Workers from external sources/Processing of Temporary Worker Pass.
Centre for Complaints/Reportings involving Security, Emergency and Unexpected Cases.
Conducting and investigating complaints of Criminal Cases on campus.
Assisting in the preparation of Directional Sign Boards.
Assisting in the control of Traffic.
Acting as Escort Services for Guests of Honour/Dignitaries (VVIP).
Assist in controlling and security monitoring for Special Programmes and Exhibition Sites.
Managing and maintaining Close Circuits Television Cameras.
